Polycarbonate is the strongest  transparent plastic ever made.

Widely used in rally/competition cars, military vehicles, jet fighters and  even as a bulletproof layer.

Resistance to scratches and UV lower than mineral glass, however it has the advantage that in case of impact it will not break and we can always decide the appropriate time to replace since mineral glass requires immediate replacement.

Under normal use, it can be estimated to have a lifespan of 5-10 years.
