Let’s get it installed smoothly in just a few minutes with these straightforward steps.
Step 1: Choose a Workspace
Find a comfortable area with enough space to fully unfold the Hood.
Step 2: Unpack the Components
Carefully remove the contents from the packaging, separating the fabric parts and accessories. Your Hood should include two pre-assembled ratchets on the loop strap and a cord threaded through it.
Included accessories:
Step 3: Assemble the Back Door
Connect the Hood to the back door using the paracord threaded through the strap loops. Leave the Back door from the inside.
To enable rolling up the back door, attach the Canadian button clips (long ones) to the strap loops with the elastic cords. Place them from inside for better looks.
Position the elastic cords at the bottom of the back door, aligning them with the vehicle’s tie-down cleats for later securing.
To enable rolling up the side panels, attach the Canadian button clips (short ones) to the Hood sides. Place them from inside for better looks.
Step 4: Assemble and install the Poles.
Mount together each pole set. (2x)
Insert the elastic cord through the poles.
Insert the poles on the sleeves situated on the side panels.
Finally, thread the elastic cord from both sides through the hood loops and tie both ends on the middle. The elastic cord will be used later to fix the lateral panels to the vehicle cleats.
Step 5: Prepare the Ratchets
Insert the 8 mm cords into the ratchets located at the back of the Hood.
Step 6: Prep the Vehicle
Cut the adhesive Velcro into sections and apply it to:
Step 7: Install on the Vehicle
Attach the Hood header to the front windscreen top channel.
Then, pull the ratchet cords prepared before to tension the Hood and secure it to the back part of vehicle’s structure wherever suits you better.
Attach the hood’s velcro to the horizontal and vertical drip rails where the adhesive velcro was placed.
Step 8: Final Adjustments
Adjust the lateral cords, use the lateral elastic cords from the poles to fix the lateral panels to the vehicles cleats, use the elastic cords to hold the back door to the bulkhead and ensure everything is secure and properly aligned, and you’re ready to go!
Enjoy your ride with your newly installed Hood!
